Plow On The Mountain
Plow On The Mountain was started in 2005 by Kenny Kirtley & Paul V. Smith, both of Crossville TN. They were reminiscing about the old times and the old ways of life when people had to work hard in the fields to survive and feed their families. They decided to get people together with their tractors and mules and plow a field.The event is free and is held twice a year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall. Included in past plowings were demonstrations of Lard rendering by Steve Thurman. Take a look at the photo album for pictures from the past plowings. For more information go to our contact page. Update: There will be no Spring Plowing this year, the guys couldn't find a field to plow.
